Letter from Our Board President
On behalf of the Board of Directors for Harambee Neighborhood Improvement District #7, we are honored to have been elected to serve this great neighborhood. Our NID’s purpose continues to be administering and allocating special assessment funds as yearly home repair grants to neighbors for projects that improve the quality of life for residents.
My primary goal this year is to ensure that residents are in the know about what's happening with their funds. I hope to dramatically increase the amount that residents hear from the NID and we will begin to host quarterly town hall meetings: providing space for community members to connect with each other and discuss pressing neighborhood concerns.
There is much change occurring in in Harambee, which has a rich history of being a great place to live and do business. We must do everything that we can to ensure that our long term residents have everything that they need to be able to enjoy the neighborhood that they invested in. We continue to rely on our resident leaders and community partners to help us secure additional resources to support our current and future residents.
Since the NID is an owner and resident led initiative, exercising your voice will determine the future of the NID’s impact and its ability to improve the quality of our neighborhood. Your ideas on how you’d like to see these improvements develop are always welcome and we hope that you will join us during our open board meetings. Please feel free to contact the board or Riverworks staff for more information about how your organization or household can get involved.
Sincerely,
Rick Banks, Chairperson
Harambee Neighborhood Improvement District #7
